Elite Cycling Training Camp

We are teaming up with Elite Cycling to bring you the experience of a lifetime. Drawing on the extensive expertise of Paul Mill, (level 3 coach and ex-pro triathlete/semi-pro cyclist) the week will feature daily sessions including on the road coaching, evening reflective discussions and planning for the next day’s session. We will also be using video analysis, giving a great opportunity to rectify descending faults and explain correct technique.

This will make your experience one that will not only benefit you in the short term but allow you to go away with a whole new understanding of training and technical methodology.

This programme will be supported by a cyclist tailored hospitality package including athlete specific cuisine, fully supported riding, on site massage service*, bike tech room, on site mechanic*, and laundry service. (*at additional cost)

For those of you not familiar with Megève or looking to get your bearings, this “très chic” village is situated in the heart of the Mont Blanc valley, an hour from Geneva and in cycle speak lies between the Cormet de Roseland to the East, Col de la Madeleine to the South, Col des Aravis and Colombiere to the West and the Col de Ramaz and Joux Plane to the North.

Whether you are looking to take your riding to the next level, would like to gain experience riding in the mountains or have planned to ride one of the Mountainous sportives this year, such as the Etape or the Marmotte, this week will get you closer to achieving your goals with a blend of first class coaching, challenging terrain and outstanding service.

As part of this package we will also be pre-booking 20 places at the Time Megève, which is an increasingly popular sportive featuring short, middle and long courses, taking in the Col des Aravis, Col de Colombiere, Col de Croix Fry and Col de Saisies. Please mention if of interest at the time of booking.

Mosquito Bikes Camp

Chalet d’Antoine has teamed up with Mosquito Bikes to you offer you the opportunity to come and experience the magic of riding in the Alps, the buzz of a sportive and all without having to take too much of your precious holiday.

We are offering a long weekend from the 15th to the 18th of June, which will include the Grand Bornand Cyclosportive should you wish to participate.

Upon arrival on Friday you will be assisted with your bike setup before rolling out towards the thermal spa town of St.Gervais les Bains. A flat warm up section is followed by a winding descent with stunning Mt Blanc views. We will then ride one of the quieter routes in the area giving a chance to warm the legs up and get used to the altitude.

Post ride snacks will be provided after each excursion and a three course evening meal, tailored to cyclist’s nutritional needs and dietary requirements will ensure you are ready to ride again the next day.

Day two will see a longer ride taking in the famous climb of the Col de la Madeleine, which will feature on this year’s Etape du Tour & Tour de France. This will be a chance to really stretch your legs but make sure you hold a bit back for the Grand Bornand Cyclosportive on day three.

The final day offers the chance to fit in another of the great cols of the region or rest and reflect on the achievements of the day before in Megève’s picturesque surroundings.

Etape Camp

The Etape du Tour 2012 will see Acte I following the route of stage 11 of the Tour, four days before the pros tackle it.

It starts from Albertville in the Savoie and heads south towards the Maurienne valley, taking in the spectacular Col de la Madeleine, crossing the Col du Glandon on the way up to the Croix de Fer; the little known but beautiful Col du Mollard is the penultimate challenge, before dropping to St Jean de Maurienne and climbing back to the ski resort of La Toussuire.

The course is 140km with over 4,000m of climbing at altitudes of up to 2,067m above sea level. This camp therefore gives the perfect opportunity to acclimatize pre-race, recce the course and have support on the day.

The usual formula of fully supported riding throughout the week, support during the Etape and complimented by a rider tailored hospitality package will put you in the best position to maximise your potential on the day.
